UGC NET Exam 2017 – Notification, Admit Card, Results, Latest Updates

UGC NET 2017 : UGC NET Exam is abbreviated as University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test which is a national level exam and will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) which helps in determining the candidates about the eligibility for the Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) programmes for both in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET Exam which aims to maintain the minimum standards of qualification that is required for the entrants in to the teaching professions and research.

About CBSE Board:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for both public and private schools, under
the Union Government of India. CBSE was established in the year 1962. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is one of the largest Education Board in India which has 10 Regional Branches which Offices. Its main branch is located at Delhi, New Delhi. The CBSE Recruitment Board consists of key members that relate to the CBSE Teaching Staff and as well as other authorities. UGC NET which was all over the country which was introduced to recruit the Assistant Professors or JRF’S into the various educational institutions across the India. This Board is also responsible for the conduction of the exams and interviews for recruiting the well-trained JRF’S and Assistant Professors in Government Institutions and its associated offices.

Details of UGC NET Exam:

  1. Frequency in conduction of Exam: Twice an year
  2. Level of Exam: Competitive Level
  3. Span of Exam: Across the Country
  4. Mode of Exam : Offline Mode which will be of Two Sessions i.e Morning and Afternoon
  5. Exam Score Validity : 6 Months
  6. Stages of Conduction of Exam : There will be only Written Test to qualify into UGC NET 3 Papers will be there for Offline Exam.

The Exam will be conducted through Offline mode which will be Written Based Test and there 3 Papers which will be based on UGC Precribed Syllabus. The Candidates must attend Offline Exam and after that these 3 Papers will be completed. The Candidate will be selected based on the merit in the Written Offline Exam.

UGC NET EXAM Pattern for JRF and Assistant Professor Posts:

There will be 3 Papers for the Offline Written Exam i.e Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.

First Paper (Paper-I) :

  1. Duration of the Time – 75 Minutes (1 1/4 Hours)
  2. No. of Questions – 60 Questions out of which 50 Questions to attempt is mandatory.
  3. Total Questions – 60 MCQ’S (Multiple Choice Questions)
  4. Total Marks – 100 Marks
  5. Timings of the Exam – 09:30 AM – 10:45 AM

Second Paper (Paper-II) :

  1. Duration of the Time – 75 Minutes (1 1/4 Hours)
  2. No. of Questions – 100 Questions out of which 50 Questions to attempt is mandatory.
  3. Total Questions – 100 MCQ’S (Multiple Choice Questions)
  4. Total Marks – 100 Marks
  5. Timings of the Exam – 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM

Third Paper (Paper-III):

  1. Duration of the Time – 150 Minutes (2 1/2 Hours)
  2. No. of Questions – 75 Questions out of which 75 Questions to attempt is mandatory.
  3. Total Questions – 75 MCQ’S (Multiple Choice Questions)
  4. Total Marks – 150 Marks
  5. Timings of the Exam – 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM

UGC NET Exam Elibility Criteria:

  1. The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  2. The Candidate need to have Master’s Degree or its equivalent from any Govt. registered university / Institution.
  3. The Candidate can also have Master’s Degree / PG in some subjects like Humanities, Computer Science, and more.
  4. The General Candidates need to have 55% in their academics in Master’s Degree / PG and Other Category Candidates can have 50% in their academics in Master’s Degree / PG.
  5. The Candidates should not exceed more than 28 Years for the Junior Research Fellowship Post and there is no upper for Assistant Professor Posts.

UGC NET Exam CUTOFF:

There will be Sectional Cutoff in the UGC NET Exams as there will be 3 Papers, cutoff will be different for all the
3 Papers. This UGC NET cutoff will be differ from year to year based on various criteria like the no. of candidates
appear for the Exam and many criteria.There will be Cutoff for each Paper which is there in the entire recruitment process.

UGC NET Admit Card 2017:

The CBSE Board will be going to release the UGC NET Exam 2017 admit card i.e Offline Exam at least two weeks before the exam. The UGC NET Exam Admit card 2017 will be available through online mode only. UGC NET Exam 2017 admit card can be downloaded by going through with the application number/roll number and date of birth or password through the official link provided on this page below.

UGC NET 2017 EXAM RESULTS:

The results of UGC NET will be declared by CBSE Recruitment Board for the Offline Exam, i.e 3 Papers will be declared by the CBSE Board.The UGC NET results for the offline exam will be going to declare and qualified candidates will be selected based on merit list. The results of UGC NET offline exam will be released based on which the candidates will be selected based on merit list. The UGC NET final results will be declared for only those candidates who will score sectional as well as overall cut off score as per their category in stages of examination.
