IBPS RRB CWE 2017 – Notification, Admit Card, Results, Updates

IBPS RRB: The abbreviation for IBPS CWE RRB is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Common Written Exam for Regional Rural Banks. The IBPS Board which is located in various parts of the country conducts these IBPS CWE RRB Exams every year in order to recruit various aspirants across the country. The IBPS Governing body releases notification conducts exams and recruits the aspirants across the country. These IBPS CWE RRB Exams will be conducted to recruit the aspirants for the posts of clerk posts and other posts in various banks which exist in rural areas i.e at village areas across the India.


About IBPS Board:

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Board is one of the Government Organization which was introduced to recruit the candidates or staff into the various government banks across the India and this board comes under the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India. Details of IBPS RRB CWE Exams:

  1. Frequency in conduction of Exams: Once an year
  2. Level of Exam: Competitive Level
  3. Span of Exam: Across the Country
  4. Mode of Exam: CBT or Computer Based Test which will be conducted through Online mode.
  5. Exam Score Validity: For an year.
  6. Stages of Conduction of Exams: For Group A Officers Scale-I there will be 3 Stages which will be termed as Prelims, Mains, and Interview. For Group A Officers Scale-II and III there will be 2 stages i.e single Online Exam and Interview.

For Group A Scale-I Officers, the Prelims Exams will be conducted through Online mode which will be Computer Based Test which will be based on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and English and the second stage i.e Mains will be same as prelims but it consists of Computer Knowledge and General Awareness with the Prelims topics and next follow up with Interview.

For Group A Scale-II and III Officers, there will be an exam and the candidates who qualify the exam there will be the Interview for that Candidates.

All the Banks which are there at Rural areas across the Country will be part of this IBPS CWE RRB Exam.

IBPS RRB CWE Exam Pattern :


  1. Numerical Ability – 40 Questions
  2. Reasoning Ability – 40 Questions
  3. Total Questions– 80 MCQ’S (Multiple Choice Questions)
  4. Total Marks – 80 Marks
  5. Negative Marking – 0.25
  6. Duration of the Exam – 45 Minutes

  3. General/Economy/ Banking Awareness  – 40 Questions
  4. English Language – 40 Questions
  5. Computer Knowledge – 40 Questions
  6. Hindi Language – 40 Questions
  7. Total Questions – 200 MCQ’S (Multiple Choice Questions)
  8. Total Marks – 200 Marks
  9. Negative Marking – 0.25
  10. Duration of the Exam – 120 Minutes (2 Hours)


The Candidate must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent and required criteria based on the posts like Officer Scale -1, Scale -2 and Scale -3.

  1. For Officer Scale I  the Candidate need to be above 18 years and Below 30 years.
  2. For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the Candidate needs to be Between 18 years and 28 years.
  3. For Officer Scale III the Candidate needs to be above 21 years and Below 40 years.
  4. For Officer Scale II the Candidate needs to be above 21 years and Below 32 years.


There will be Sectional Cutoff in the IBPS CWE RRB Exams and this cutoff may differ from year to year based on various criteria like the candidates appear for the Exam and many criteria. There will be separate Cutoff for every section which is there in the entire recruitment process. The exam conducting body will release IBPS cut off score of each stage at the time announcement of results.

IBPS CWE RRB Admit Card 2017:

The IBPS Board will be going to release the IBPS RRB CWE 2017 admit card for any exam i.e Prelims, Mains Examination, and Interview at least two weeks before the exam. The IBPS CWE RRB admit card 2017 will be available through online mode only. Latest IBPS RRB CWE Recruitment:



The results of IBPS CWE RRB will be declared by IBPS Bank Recruitment Board in three stages i.e preliminary, mains and interview for Group A Scale-I Posts. The IBPS CWE Clerk results for the preliminary will be going to declare and qualified candidates will appear for mains exam. The results of IBPS Clerk mains exam will be released based on the performance of the candidates. The IBPS RRB final results will be declared for only those candidates who will score sectional as well as overall cut off score as per their category in stages of examination. There will be only one Written Exam for Group A Scale II and Scale III Posts and followed up with the interview.
